Netizens loved the chemistry between Farhan and Mrunal, found the movie cliché

New Delhi: The freshly released Toofan managed to maintain a hype throughout its release. The film which was due to be released in theaters has finally been released on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video due to the ongoing pandemic.

People already had Toofan on their watch lists as duo Farhan Akhtar and Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra collaborate for the second time together after the blockbuster hit Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. This Omprakash Mehra sports drama revolves around the life of a street fighter “Azzu Bhai” from Dongri to become a national level boxer.

The film, however, received mixed reviews from netizens where some called it an inspirational film while others found it quite cliché and predictable.

Although the first reactions to the film were not the same in 2013, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag came out, but netizens were all in favor of Farhan Akhtar and Mrunal Thakur’s new chemistry. Kumar and Hussain Dalal were also very popular.

#Toofan has a predictable story and cliché storytelling with uninspiring music. Farhan Akhtar is a beast when it comes to his physique and performance, doing his job pretty well alongside Paresh Rawal. The film just lacks punch in its writing. Average!

The only good thing about #Toofan is that it finally ends after having delved into its cliché, its predictable and boring plot. There are times when it tried to be a good movie, @FarOutAkhtar is in the spotlight again but poor editing, the second half ruined it.
